Taste of Rip City

Simultaneous with our activation for Budweiser x Denver Nuggets, Anheuser-Busch worked with us to create and execute a unique activation for Portland Trailblazers fans. Our objective was to engage with the Portland community, get Budweiser in the hands of fans, and get people excited about the Trailblazers’ playoff run. In addition, the activation featured a giving component to Budweiser’s charity partner, Folds of Honor.

The Pineapple creative team landed on the idea of a Budweiser food truck in an activation named Taste of Rip City. Our creatives and producers devised a plan for the truck to be custom wrapped with Trailblazer and Budweiser graphics and to serve delicious Oregon-inspired eats as well as Budweiser’s limited-edition Freedom Reserve beer.

The Pineapple Team navigated inclement weather and an unpredictable game schedule to provide fans with a delicious variety of sliders and beer as well as a fun and interactive experience. People loved finding the truck around Portland on game days, and winning playoff tickets and swag. It became a fantastic way to reach fans and raise money for Folds of Honor.
